Wednesday Weekly #45

Howdy makers!  I am riding the thrill of finishing my Sophie Swimsuit last night and I am really excited to have gotten another vacation sewing project checked off my list.  I hope you are all having amazing summers so far and are working on some exciting projects.  It can be hard to make time to sew in these busy months, but sometimes a little quiet time in the sewing room with a fan turned your way is more relaxing than the beach – you know what I’m talking about?  I think you do 🙂

Inspiration

I was so taken by these watercolour paintings of pools by Joanne Ho.  One day I’d like to have a sewing pool party where we all wear our me-made suits, wouldn’t that be fun?!

  1. I’ve seen your Sophie on Instagram, can’t wait for more pics! I’ve cut out mine, just need to find time to sew it before summer is over!

    1. You can do it!! Even if you don’t make it this summer, think of it as an excuse to go on a tropical vacation in the winter 😉

  2. I am late to the round-up party as usual, but I’m loving all the makes out there this week! You do such a good job and finding things I haven’t seen. I love that Octopus fabric too and I finally got my hands on some of the coral-pink colour way, which I’m sure will now sit in my stash for years before I work up the nerve to cut into it. LOL. Also I love that watercolour painting too!

    1. Thanks, Heather! I have so much fun pulling these posts together, I just have to squash my sewing envy when I’m looking at all the amazing things out there! It makes me want to sew more though, and that is always a good thing. I love the pink Octopus colourway, can’t wait to see what you make with it! Take my advice and sew it sooner rather than later, then you can wear it, and it is the BEST to wear 😀
