Every once in a while a fabric pops up in my inbox that causes me to abandon all other project plans and make something completely unexpected. This banana print was that fabric. I snatched it up from Blackbird Fabrics to make the ultimate summer PJ's!

For the PJ shorts, I used the
Carolyn Pajama shorts pattern, which I have
made before in flannel. I love this pattern because it has all the nice details of classic PJs, while still being quick to sew up. It especially nice in a lightweight cotton like this banana fabric.

For the PJ top, I used my beloved
True Bias Ogden Cami! I didn't have quite enough fabric to make the facings, so I cut several small strips of bias tape and sewed them together to get enough to finish the edges! I did exposed bias tape that continues from the armhole up and over the shoulder to complete the straps.

I have been wearing this PJ's a lot this past summer, they are perfect for those warm nights. I also have a
full set of Carolyn Pajamas for the winter, so I'm all set!
