Carolyn Pajamas

Happy New Year, everyone! I've got a special post to share today, one of my favourite makes from 2016! Attending Camp Workroom Social was just the push I needed to finally make the Carolyn Pajamas I have been planning for the past year. I had the pattern and fabrics for a while, but I am typically more of a knit loungewear person, so I didn’t have a ton of motivation to get going on these ‘fancy’ pajamas. Luckily, CWS decided to have a pajama party as a part of our fun-filled weekend, and that was just the motivation I was looking for! Closet Case Files Carolyn Pajamas This make is a bit late to the blog, but I am limited when it comes to indoor photos as my apartment doesn’t get a ton of natural light. It has to be a very sunny day and a day Sam and I both have off work, which is pretty rare. We finally got one over Christmas, so I jumped (literally) at the chance to take some pics. I have been hoarding this fabric for a looooong time, so I’m really happy it finally found a purpose. The fabrics have a similar deep blue colour, and I used some of the lawn in the front facings and undercollar of the top to tie it all together. For the piping, I decided on black to keep it neutral and tie in with the black in the top fabric. The cut is relaxed yet flattering and not oversized. I will still reach for my knit Hudson pants and Lark tee for most of my lounging, but it is nice to have a full PJ set for pajama parties or staying over at other people’s homes. It takes a bit of time to complete the Carolyn PJs because they are two separate pieces, but it is very rewarding to have an entire outfit at the end! The Camp Workroom Social pajama party was so much fun, It was great to see so many Carolyn Pajamas! Check out minute 1 - 1.30 in this highlight video for some footage from the event.
