Day three already! Today is exciting because our bags are really going to take shape with these steps. You will need your pins, scissors, iron, sewing machine, and measuring tape for today. I also recommend having a well lit space to work, because the tab portion of the next steps requires a good light source. Lets get going!
First, take your outer bag and fold it in half, right sides together. Pin along both sides and sew using a 5/8" (1.5cm) seam allowance. Start at the middle seam to make sure that lines up perfectly. Once sewn, trim your seam allowance down to 1/4".
Reach inside your bag to open it up and make two triangle points with each bottom corner. You want to sandwich the bag bottom and the bag side seam together, with the bag side seam centered in the middle. 
We are going to sew 1" down from the triangle point, creating a 2" (5cm) long line of stitching. Be sure your side seam is centered. I like to go back and forth at least 2 times here, just to make a really strong corner.
Once sewn, trim off the extra triangles of fabric. 
Turn the bag top down 1 6/8", pushing the side seams the same direction you pushed them on the bottom corners. Make sure you measure all the way around and press. 
That's all for the outer bag, next we will be attaching the tabs.
Reminder! There is a small change to the pattern regarding the tabs.
- On step 20, the instructions say to fold tab in at 2" and 3.5". This should be 'fold in at 1.5" and 3 7/8"'.
- The stitch guide on the tab pieces (13) should be 1.7" x 3.75", not 1.7" x 2.75". See image below.
Fold each side of the tabs in 1", the sides should meet in the middle. Fold each end of the tabs in, one at 1.5" and the other at 3.75", they should also meet in the middle. Slide the rectangle rings onto the tabs. They should fit quite snug, with a little bunching at the corners.
Now comes the tricky part, make sure you have a good light source. Place the outer bag on the table, with the side seam lying flat in the middle. Place one of the tabs along the side seam, 3 2/8" up from the middle seam. It can be hard to see inside the bag, hence the good light source. Once you have positioned the tab, pin it in place, centered on the side seam. I find that one or two pins are sufficient here.
Sew the tabs to the bag, pushing the bag top out of the way to get it on to your machine. If it is easier for you, feel free to turn the bag right side out and sew it that way. I tried a few ways and this was the easiest for me. Sew along the stitch guides, pivoting at the corners and then sewing the X shape last. 
You should have something like this on the outside of your bag. If you wish, you can turn your bag right-side out to see the results! For view B, we will need to turn it wrong side out again on day 5 to sew on the flap.
