Sewalong Granger Bags

Thanks again to everybody who signed up to receive the free Granger Book Bag Pattern! I had a lot of fun making the pattern and doing the sewalong with you all. I made both views during the sewalong so I could demonstrate view A and view B. If you are interested in seeing how this bag comes together, you can check out the sewalong here. I made the floral version for myself, since I did not have a view A yet, and It seemed a fitting reward for meeting my goal of releasing a pattern and doing a sewalong! I’m a sucker for girly florals and fell completely in love with this blue and pink print. It is a cotton canvas from Birch Fabrics, and it is lined with a gorgeous cotton voile, also from Birch. I used webbing for the strap on my bag, and plain canvas for the bottom half. The look is very natural and makes me think of Spring. It will be a great bag for the warmer months. I love the classic style of this bag and how it works great for both men and women. Sam is modeling this version, which is not dissimilar to the one I made for him. This Granger is made from black and green canvas, and lined with cotton. The lining has little owls all over it, which seemed fitting for a book bag but I don’t know quite why!
