Wednesday Weekly #131

Happy Wednesday, makers! It's the first day of Me Made May and I have decided on my pledge for this year! I have been working in my loungewear this year and I'm feeling in a bit of a rut, sewing wise. I want to encourage myself to make nice things and to do that, I need to wear nice things to 'work' each day! I pledge to get properly dressed for work and wear a non-loungewear outfit that includes at least one handmade piece (though likely more). If you want to learn more about Me Made May, you can do so here! Wednesday Weekly News (clockwise from top left) Closet Case Patterns released the Jenny Overalls! Megan Nielsen released the Ash Jeans and the River Top. Itch to Stitch released the Giverny dress. Seamwork released two new dress patterns, Amber (featured above) and Lane. Jennifer Lauren Handmade released the Pippi Pinafore. Makes Emily Hallman looks stunning in her latest creations. These three Moneta dresses from Sew Abigail are great. Heidi made a midi length Colfax dress and I am swooning. This striped top from the Flying Needle is the perfect wardrobe staple. Miss Crayola Creepy looks awesome in her Inari Tee Dress. I love this Orsala dress from Jenny Maker. Check out this gorgeous Lempi dress from Rue Des Renards! Thread Infusion made a killer pair of Persephone pants! I cannot get over how cute this Sophie Swimsuit is! Beth made a perfect pair of Avery Leggings. This Isca dress from Bombazine is everything! Resources Goheen designs shares her Me Made May tracker. Londa shows us how to sew a bowl cover. Trish Stitched shares what you can do after fashion revolution week. It doesn't stop here! Closet Case Patterns also released a free sewing machine and serger cover pattern! On the Podcast Erica Bunker joins us to talk about cultivating a stylish wardrobe. We cover exploring your personal style, looking past the pattern envelope, and how to take awesome photos of your makes.
