Hello makers, happy Wednesday! I (Chloe) am writing you this Wednesday Weekly all the way from São Paulo, Brazil. The fact that I'm still able to write this weekly round-up from down here has got me recognizing how amazing it is that the sewing community is so globally accessible! Appropriately, this week's new patterns have come from all around the world for us to try.
News (clockwise from top left)
Papercut Patterns released the Rubix Collection, including the Stacker Jacket, Axis Dress/Skirt, Sequence Blouse/ Dress, Array Top/Dress, Twist Pants, and Nexus Blouse (pictured are the Axis Dress and Array Top).
Cashmerette released the Tobin Sweater.
Alice and Co. Patterns released the free Georgie Dress, inspired by a 1962 Mary Quant design.
Sew Altered Style released the Melinda Midi Skirt.
Community
Following the Thread posted all about the fall round of Literary Sewing Circle! How does the Literary Sewing Circle work? They read a book together, discuss it, and then make something inspired by the reading. As long as you can point out what inspired you from your reading, even if just a sentence, you can share your makes in the final roundup! Head to the Following the Thread blog for information on which book they're reading, which pattern they're making, who is sponsoring this round, and to view the schedule.
