Wednesday Weekly #75

Hi, Makers! Apologies for the late Wednesday Weekly, I was away on a little work retreat for the last few days so I am playing catch up on blog-related things. We had a great stay on Saltspring island here in BC. Check out this video I shot at the top of the mountain we climbed yesterday! I am so blessed to live in the Pacific North West, is is just such a gorgeous place. I hope you are all having a great week, too! Let's dive into what is happening in the indie sewing world, shall we? Wednesday Weekly News (clockwise from top left) Seamwork released Sonya, a pattern with multiple views as opposed to their usual 2-pattern monthly release. In the Folds has partnered with Peppermint Magazine for another awesome freebie pattern. Grab this pleated skirt pattern. Victory patterns stole the show this week with their latest dress pattern, Jackie. Named Clothing released the Playground Collection, with many different options for spring and summer sewing. Featured above is the Reeta Midi Shirtdress. Itch to Stitch released the Tierras woven joggers. Mimi G released a PDF jumpsuit pattern. Wednesday Weekly Community Events Tanya from Mrs. Hughes is hosting the ‘Dress like your Grandma Challenge’. I love this idea! The challenge started on Monday the 6th and is running until April 17th. Emerald Erin is hosting a #sewpantyparty! Make yourself some new undies in the month of March to participate. She has lots of great resources for you over on her blog! Makes I want to steal this cozy Toaster Sweater from Frolein Tilia. This plaid tunic dress from Tea Okereke is amazing. How cool is this dropped-shouldered bomber from Sweet Shard? Speaking of cool jackets, this moto-jacket from Sewionista is awesome. I love this classic denim skirt from Attack of the Seam Ripper. This retro sleeve Moneta from Au Fil des Pages is gorgeous! I am so into this plaid jacket from Beute J’adore. Sake Jane’s latest backless dress is simply stunning. Some seriously sweet PJ’s from Bobbin and Baste. This red raincoat from The Sewing Goatherd is fab. Resources Itch to Stitch shows us how to sew a drawstring the quick way and how to make a continuous bias tape loop. I was so pleased to stumble upon this video on sewing the Cloth Habit Harriet Bra. What a great vid! Thanks, Rebel Angel!
