Wednesday Weekly #83

Welcome to May, makers! I am bringing all my me-mades to the front of my closet so I can see all my options in the morning. Like most sewists, I have items that do not get worn very often and this exercise is good for determining if they should stay. Not everything you make will be a success, and it can be hard to part with items that you laboured over. The reward for that effort is a better understanding of your style preferences and, of course, increased sewing skills! This month, try to wear your me-mades, but also try to be honest with yourself and free yourself from the burden of an overstuffed closet. Wednesday Weekly #83 News (clockwise from top left) Seamwork released two dresses, Reggie (featured above) and Gabrielle. Sew Sew Def issue #2 is out this week with two new swimwear patterns. Tilly released the Ella dress, a form-fitting silhouette with e vintage feel. The Dreamstress released the Scroop Ngaio Blouse. Noodlehead released the Traverse bag. Community Events Me-Made May is in full swing on instagram! You can check out the posts so far here. Don’t have instagram? No worries! The idea is that you consciously choose to wear your me-mades proudly this month, no social proof needed. Makes I absolutely love looking at coat projects!
