I’m so happy to share a make from one of our models, Parnian! You may recognize her from the Cameron Button Up photoshoot. She started sewing a few years ago and she has been steadily tackling more and more challenging projects and leveling up her skills. Let’s take a look at this incredible Wildwood Jacket!

Get the Wildwood Jacket and Vest
Parnian used pre-quilted fabric from Blackbird Fabrics for this jacket. This is a nylon/polyester fabric that is intended for outerwear. She bought several of the colours they had in stock, purchasing about a meter of each.
She cut out her Wildwood Jacket from the various pieces of material, planning out which areas would be which colour before she started cutting. Because this fabric is pre-quilted, she did not need to layer any fabric or do any stitching. It was simply a matter of cutting the pieces out and she could get started on the binding!
Parnian bound this Wildwood using store-bought bias tape in a neutral colour. It looks so good with all the different colours of quilted material!
Once the pieces were bound, it was simple to sew them all together to make this amazing Wildwood Jacket. Parnian is a big fan of fun, bold colourblocking so this jacket is the perfect layering piece for her!
This Wildwood was made using our base pattern so there is no collar or hood added. Parnian is very excited to make a second Wildwood, this time sewing the vest view with the new collar option!
