I’m so excited to share some more hacks with you today! This time I have a second Lawrence Dress hack paired with yet another sleeveless Gilbert Top hack. Tutorials for both of these makes are available on our blog. Read on to find out more!
This skirt is the gathered tiered portion of our Lawrence Dress pattern made up as a skirt. This hack is so easy! All you need to do is add a waistband piece and a drawstring (if desired). You can make the shorter skirt or the longer skirt, it’s totally up to you! You can see our full blog post for the hack here:
For this skirt, we used washed linen from Blackbird Fabrics in a sage green colour. I love this spring shade! It looks amazing with the gathered tiers because linen really emphasizes texture like gathers (and wrinkles, haha). I love this longer length because it feels so whimsical and magical. Especially in this gorgeous morning light!
I’ve paired this Lawrence Skirt Hack with another sleeveless Gilbert Top. Once again, you can see full instructions for how to make this simple hack here. It’s one of my favourite hacks we have on the blog because I love a good sleeveless top! There is something so elegant about the camp-style collar and the button front paired with the sleeveless cut.
Sleeveless tops are a staple for me year round! Obviously they are great in the summer because of the heat, but they also work well in the winter because they layer well with cardigans - hello, Blackwood!
I love this look from head to toe! It’s fun to wear and I feel great in it. 10/10!
