Today I want to share my Evergreen Sweatpants with you! I wore the shorts view in our product launch, but I have a couple of pairs of sweats that I can’t wait to show you. Each of them are made in very different fabrics so we can compare that, too!

The recommended fabrics for Evergreen are as follows:
Medium to heavy knit fabrics with minimal stretch (0-10% stretch). Sweatshirting and French terry are ideal. Choose a medium to heavy weight fabric for best results, approximately 9-14 oz (300 - 475 gsm). Lighter weight fabrics can work for a softer, more relaxed fit. Stretchier knits can be used but will result in a drapier look.
My blue Evergreen Sweatpants are made in the recommended heavy sweatshirting. This is a cotton jogging fleece fabric that has a smooth side and a fleece side. It is 100% cotton and it has very minimal stretch. It’s very warm and cozy and it holds its shape well!

My rust-coloured Evergreen Sweatpants are made in “Day Off French Terry - Toffee” from Blackbird Fabrics. This is a lighter-weight knit made from bamboo and cotton with spandex blended in. It is very stretchy and drapey like most bamboo knits. These pants are warm but also breathable and they are extremely comfortable.

I really like both of these pants for different reasons! I love how fluffy and cozy the blue pair is. It feels like a classic sweatpant, which reminds me of being a teenager and wearing sweats to school. I like the smooth, thick feel of them. And I love how they pool at the ankle in a cute, poofy way. These are the pants I want to wear after I go skiing or when I walk my dog on a cold winter evening. I can put them on over my leggings in the morning when I’m on my way to the gym.

I also love the rust pair! They are beyond comfortable in this soft bamboo fabric, and the stretch means that my legs never feel restricted. They are drapey and have a cool hand, which makes them feel easy and relaxed. Not too warm so they work well for lounging at home, but they also look cute with sneakers and a jean jacket. These are the pants I want to wear to the movies or to run errands. I also love wearing them for my work from home life.

Both of these fabrics work well for Evergreen, it just depends on what you are looking for in your sweatpants! Maybe you want to be like me and make two pairs so you have all of your bases covered. I’m certainly glad I did!

One last note about my Evergreen Sweatpants! Evergreen has a mid-rise and a gender inclusive fit. You can wear them at that mid-rise point, you can pull them up to be higher on the waist, or you can slouch them down low. You can also choose whether to fold the waistband over or not! Here are some examples of the waistband worn at different heights on my body.
