Makes
Attack of the Seam Ripper made this beautiful tartan Agave skirt.
Shun D. sewed these wide-legged rainbow striped pants! I love that wearing rainbow is a thing now.
Tanya Maile made this vintage inspired dress with hand-embroidered dragon motifs! The embroidered dragons are gorgeous, and SO impressive.
I Sew, Therefore I Am made this Ruska Dress featuring some lovely colour blocking.
Emma’s Altier sewed this super-cool menswear bomber jacket! I love the combination of a classic shape with bold fabric.
Dixie DIY made this beautiful pink and black Anouk dress. Dixie is pregnant (congrats!), and she pointed out that Anouk works well as a secret maternity pattern because of the adjustable waist ties. Community:
Trash to Couture sewed this gorgeous 70’s-esque chiffon dress using a vintage pattern that belonged to her grandmother. How cool is that?
The Fair Stitch created this wonderful Anza dress. It’s so pretty and summery!
Resources
Ho-Mei from Arrow Mountain released this awesome PDF sewing tracker template; this tool helps you track the progress of your sewing project by breaking it down into steps, from buying the pattern, pre-washing fabrics, to applying interfacing and installing closure. I love an organizational tool!
Sew DIY created a video tutorial for three ways to create a seam allowance guide. This is a great resource for those of you who don’t have clear seam allowance guides on your machine’s throat plate!
Heather Handmade wrote this great tutorial on the differences between edgestitching and topstitching.
Closet Case Patterns released a free pattern for shoulder pads and sleeve heads. They were drafted for the Jasika Blazer, but will work well for other projects too!
