Wednesday Weekly #37

It's been a busy week! So many great pattern releases and makes. I love seeing all the fun and flirty prints being used for spring, I just can't resist a good print! I'm working hard on my culottes pattern, expect a call for testers soon! I can't wait to share it with you all, it is literally all I think about these days, in a good way :) Wednesday Weekly Helens Closet News Grainline Studio released the Willow tank-top & dress, an excellent addition to their wardrobe building block-style patterns. Megan Nielsen released the Axel skirt, a simple design with many lovely details to choose from. Tessuti released the Brooklyn Coat, another fantastically chic pattern, perfect for layering. Itch to Stitch released the Sirena dress, and the 20% off sale ends today! I definitely tempted by this pattern, It looks like such a great, fitted silhouette that could take on many different personalities depending on fabric choice. Sew Caroline released the Parkside shorts, a perfectly simple short for summer. LLadybird announced the 2016 outfit-along, where you sign up to sew a garment and knit a garment to create an entirely handmade ensemble. Makes This lemon striped dress from Mrs. Hughes is tea party perfection. I love this dress from Ada Spragg, as always :) Jamie from Fancy Tiger Crafts has already made the new Grainline Willow - so fast!! This anderson blouse from Pigeon Wishes is really pretty. Make sure you check out this amazing sparkly gown from Ten Thousand Hours of Sewing. This Flora dress from Le fil a coudre d’Anna is making me so excited to get started on my Flora! Amazing dress and beautiful photos. Happy Norwegian National Day to Marie-Fleurine, doesn’t she look lovely in her celebratory dress? Hanne’s striped tunic dress is simply divine. Resources Heather from Closet Case Files demonstrates how to install a button fly. Itch to Stitch gives tips on making skirts drape perfectly using pennies. For us Canadian sewers, this is an excellent way to use up those pennies that not longer have any value. Some fantastic tips on photographing your makes from Make My Lemonade.
