Howdy makers! I am riding the thrill of finishing my Sophie Swimsuit last night and I am really excited to have gotten another vacation sewing project checked off my list. I hope you are all having amazing summers so far and are working on some exciting projects. It can be hard to make time to sew in these busy months, but sometimes a little quiet time in the sewing room with a fan turned your way is more relaxing than the beach - you know what I'm talking about? I think you do :) Wednesday Weekly Helen's Closet News (clockwise from top left): Have you seen the new Chitown Chinos from Alina Sewing + Design Co? I’m working on my first pair and I am really excited about them. A new travel bag pattern from Sew Sweetness. Skinny Bitch Curvy Chick released the Paloma Shirt. The re-fashioners is back for another year of fabulous upcycling! Head on over to the Makery for more details about this year’s jeans challenge. Salme Patterns released the Hagen Skirt, a lovely design, perfect for any season. Makes I have been following the progress of this amazing wedding dress by This Blog is Not For You, and it has been fully revealed! A beautifully simple Sway dress from Carly in Stitches. I love the sharp contrast of yellow flowers on a black background on this dress from Funk Bunny’s Garden. This beautiful blouse from Le Fil a Coudre d’Anna is full of whimsy. Sophie is smitten with her new Winslow Culottes, and they look great on her! This cute yellow off the shoulder top from Sea of Teal stole my heart. I never tire of seeing this fabric pop up on my feed. More octopi, please! Two fabulous Mercer Tunics from Press & Release. This hot pink one shoulder dress from Style Sew Me is a true knockout.
