Makes

Gilliancrafts from Crafting a Rainbow sewed a cute knit dress combining Cashmerette and Burda patterns- the fabric she used wasn’t vividly coloured enough for her, so she used Sharpies to brighten it up! That’s so creative.

Heidi from Handmade Frenzy shared this springy Farrah Blouse in double gauze on the Imagine Gnats blog. The end product is so chic and fun!

Alexis Bailey shared this lovely raw silk striped dress that she created using the Ogden Cami pattern and a self-drafted skirt.

Merritts Makes sewed the new Sirocco Jumpsuit in a bold floral fabric, and it looks amazing.

Crafty Clyde made a beautiful black Willamette Shirt featuring an embroidered frog dreaming under some stars. I just love personal touches like this- it really makes a garment special!

Karen from Indiesew shared this incredible silk Jade Dress.

Intensely Distracted made these blue Chi-Town Chinos that are perfect for summer.

Last Stitch shared this tutorial for sewing a jeans waistband that looks just as polished on the inside as it does on the outside.

Granline Studio published this tutorial for using thread chains and snaps to keep your bra straps in place. I struggle with this problem all the time, so I will definitely be giving this simple solution a try.

We can’t emphasize this enough- pressing is crucial to good sewing. Did You Make That shared five good reasons to press your fabric, which reminds all of us not to skip this very important step!

Curvy Sewing Collective has some helpful tips for reusing and thrifting fabric. This is a great way to practice sustainability when sewing!
