Pattern Description
The Lazo Jumpsuit is a relaxed and stylish head-to-toe look for everyday wear. Lazo is comfortable while still looking put together and fashion forward. Sleeveless with a v-neck and a button front closure, Lazo is excellent for warmer weather and also works well layered in the cooler months.

The neck and arm openings are finished with bias binding. Lazo has nice deep pockets and a drawstring waist. Cinch the drawstring at the waist to add shaping or relax the ties for the ultimate lounge jumpsuit. You can make Lazo as a cropped pant jumpsuit or a playful romper. We promise that you will love living the Lazo lifestyle!
Sizes
This pattern includes two size options. There is a B-cup pattern from sizes 0-22 and a D-cup pattern from sizes 12-34. This pattern goes from a 33” (84 cm) - 62” (157.5 cm) hip.

In the photo above, Kim (left) is wearing a size 4-B on top, graded to a size 0 on the bottom. Laurie (middle) is wearing a size 20-D on top with a ½” FBA, graded to a size 14 on the bottom. and Princess (right) is wearing a size 22-D on top, graded to a size 28 at the hip, and then back to a size 22 for the hem.

Fabric Recommendations
Light to medium weight woven fabrics with no stretch. We recommend fabrics under 7.5 oz (250 gsm). Rayon/viscose challis or poplin, linen, cotton, and Tencel will work well. Structured fabric will have more dramatic volume and drapier fabrics will have more fluid movement.

For our samples, we used 7 oz cotton, 5 oz cotton/linen blend, and tencel twill (all from Blackbird Fabrics).

About the Fit
Lazo has a relaxed fit but it does not feel too baggy or loose. The drawstring waist helps to comfortably cinch things in without it feeling tight. This makes Lazo nice and adjustable depending on how you are feeling. You can wear it loose for a more relaxed fit or cinch it up tight for more waist definition. The button front opens up down to the crotch so you can step into Lazo and pull the jumpsuit over your shoulders.

The pants are slightly cropped but they can be easily lengthened to be full length pants if desired.

If you are familiar with some of our other patterns, the bodice fits similarly to our Lawrence Top. The pants are most similar to our June Pants but have a bit more wearing ease at the hips.

Sewing Lazo
Lazo is not very difficult to sew! We have marked it as ‘advanced beginner’. It is a fully body garment so a muslin is recommended to ensure a great fit. The neckline and armholes are finished with bias binding and the center front button placket is created with a front facing piece. Other than the front button placket, the rest of Lazo is quite easy to sew! If you have made woven tops and elastic waist pants and skirts, You can make Lazo! You may need to practice your buttonholes, but you can totally do it!

We can’t wait to rock Lazo all summer long! Lazo is truly the relaxed and reliable everyday garment we have been craving. We hope you love this new design as much as we do.
